Ting Reader Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-06-30
1. We Do Not Collect or Use Your Personal Information
Ting Reader is self-hosted software. The software itself and the official website do not actively collect, upload, host, or analyze your media library content, playback history, account passwords, server address, WebDAV credentials, plugin configuration, or other personal information.
Data stored on your own server, database, media folders, client cache, or offline download directories is deployed, controlled, and managed by you. Developers and the official website cannot access such data by default.
When you access the official website, GitHub, plugin sources, update check services, or other third-party resources, those third-party services may record standard access logs such as IP address, User-Agent, and access time under their own policies. Ting Reader does not actively combine such logs, build user profiles, or use them for advertising.
2. How You Manage Your Personal Information
You can manage, export, modify, or delete related data through your self-hosted Ting Reader server, database, storage folders, local client cache, and offline download directories.
When deleting accounts, playback records, favorites, history, cache, offline files, or library content, also check server data folders, database backups, reverse proxy logs, third-party storage, plugin caches, and local data on each client.
If you use third-party WebDAV, network storage, plugins, scrapers, or external APIs, manage their stored data and authorizations according to the relevant service or plugin instructions.
3. How This Privacy Policy Is Updated
We may update this privacy policy due to feature changes, compliance requirements, or user feedback. Updated content will be published on the corresponding official website page, and the last updated date shown on that page will apply.
If you continue to use Ting Reader and its related website, documentation, or services after this privacy policy is updated, you are deemed to have understood and accepted the updated content.
4. How to Contact Us
If you have questions, suggestions, or complaints about this privacy policy, data processing, or related features, contact us through GitHub Issues or the project links in the official website footer.
To help us locate issues, you may provide version number, deployment method, related page, or feature description. Do not publicly submit account passwords, access tokens, server private keys, or other sensitive information.
5. Others
Third-party plugins, WebDAV services, network storage services, GitHub, app stores, system browsers, and other third-party platforms may be governed by their own privacy policies and terms of service. You should read and decide whether to accept them before use.
Matters not covered by this privacy policy are governed by applicable laws, regulations, and relevant open-source project documentation. To the extent permitted by law, Ting Reader assumes responsibility according to the actual control boundary of self-hosted software.
